This year, the White Salmon River is welcoming returning salmon for the first time in a century. Artists are invited to celebrate the historic reopening of the White Salmon River and help support restoration of the watershed by participating in a community art show. The opening will be September 6, 2012 at the Sprint Gallery in the White Salmon Library. The show will run through the end of September.

Visual art of any media is welcome. Art should celebrate salmon and returning salmon.

Participating artists are asked to donate a portion (10 – 100%) of the sale of the art to restoration of the river. A special account for the proceeds will be established specifically for fish habitat restoration on the White Salmon River.

Art submissions are requested by July 31, 2012. Please look here for more information.
