How you can help
There are many ways to get involved with Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group. Your help is needed! We have a wide range of opportunities for individual volunteers and community groups. We also welcome your financial support through a membership or donation. We are particularly excited to offer direct support for restoration in the Upper Yakima basin through the Upper Yakima River Conservation Fund.
A sampling of volunteer opportunities include:
- Assisting with habitat restoration projects, especially planting projects scheduled each fall and spring. Please contact us for current schedule.
- Office work, computer assistance, graphic design, and more!
- Help out with project monitoring, spawning surveys, nutrient enhancement and more.
- Assistance with education and outreach projects.
- Additional volunteer opportunities are available for those with special skills or connections, such as helping to initiate a new project on private land, or assisting with project design, or construction.
- Internships are also available.
- Fundraising.
